ABOUT ME

I started coaching with one goal in mind: to help the family focus on the family. My background in the mental health profession for the last 5 years has given me a burden to help create more balanced living and stronger relationships in families. This should ultimately lead to fewer cases of mental health problems. Both my personal experience as a therapist and the research agree that this is true. My goal is help families by improving work-life balance, communication skills, and quality time.

Bio

My name Is Erica Siegel.

I am originally from Mississippi, but I now reside in Florida with my husband and daughter. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2016. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2018. As a counselor for the last 5 years, I often felt frustrated at being on the intervention side of things instead of prevention. I have worked with countless children, teens, and adults that have shown me the importance of family relationships. That led me to become certified as a relationship coach so I can be more effective in preventing and solving mental health crises before they happen.

In today’s fast-paced world where most families are required to be two-income households, it is difficult for families to have the time together they need. However, I saw and felt the shift that happened during the pandemic lockdowns. For the first time in ages, families were able to focus a bit more on their families. People got creative with their quality time. There was a running joke that the quarantine resulted in divorce, marriage, and/or pregnancy. I found myself in those last two categories.

Since starting a family with my husband, I’ve been overcome with this desire to be able to focus on my family. Desire almost seems like too tame of a word; it became so strong that it became a burden. And it’s not just a burden for my own family. I feel a yearning to help all families be able to focus more on their families. It is my belief that if families are healthy and relationships are strong, then most of the issues I saw as a counselor would be resolved. Your heart would break at the amount of teenagers that just want parents who listen and are interested in them.

All of this has led me to design a program that can help you achieve a better balance in life to help you be family-focused and build stronger relationships with your spouse and/or children. This program is for families of all ages and demographics. If you are a married couple or single parent with children at home, this is for you! If you’ve been struggling with how to find balance between work and home, this is for you! If you’re in the family planning stage and want to learn helpful skills and tips before you become unbalanced, this program is for you! Unfortunately this program is not for you if you’re a childfree couple looking to create balance between career and relationship - but stay updated on this website because I may offer material for you in the future.

MY COACHING METHOD

  • Assess

    It all starts by assessing where you currently are and where you’d like to go.

  • Apply

    Next, you’ll we’ll learn valuable skills and begin to apply these to the obstacles that are currently blocking us from our goals.

  • Achieve

    The last step? We learn how to continuously refine what we’ve learned and apply it to new situations so we can continue to achieve our goals. Think of this as your new beginning.
